Year of continued global uncertainty and volatility drives greater need for integrated supply chain planning and execution

Foster City, Calif., October 6, 2011 – E2open, a leading provider of collaborative execution solutions for managing business across trading networks, today announced that it added a record number of new companies to its customer roster, expanded its management team, and opened new offices in Europe and Asia in the past year—a year in which global economic uncertainty and natural disasters forced enterprises to put greater focus on supply chain visibility and collaboration.

World-class companies across industries, from high technology to consumer goods, joined the E2open Business Network, including Diebold, Flextronics, McAfee, Network Appliance, and Sonic Manufacturing.

“At Flextronics, we continually strive to increase the value we provide to our OEM customers,” said Caroline Dowling, business unit president at Flextronics. “By partnering with E2open, we look forward to enhancing and enabling a broader selection of offerings in service, repair, and supply chain solutions we provide to our valued customers.”

“In today’s increasingly volatile environment, delivering products to market profitably means having an integrated trading network that’s not only cost-efficient but also innovative and responsive to changes in market conditions,” said Mark Woodward, President and CEO of E2open. “With the reality of supply disruptions, demand spikes and troughs, as well as unforeseen disasters, the need to have a cross-network view that includes suppliers and customers is becoming a requisite to world-class supply chain execution.”

E2open expanded its global footprint by opening offices in Düsseldorf, Germany and Shanghai, China. Helping to expand the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Edward Toung has taken the role of Vice President, Asia Sales and Marketing. Previously, Toung served as Senior Director, Product Marketing at E2open.

The company’s management team was expanded further with the addition of Desikan Madhavanur as General Manager, Products and Product Strategy. Previously, Madhavanur was Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, where he was responsible for technology and operations strategy, including leading large-scale transformation projects in billing systems and revenue management best practices.
