Four of the Top Ten Global Supply Chains Rely on E2open

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Foster City, Calif., June 23, 2010 – E2open, the leading provider of cloud-based supply chain management solutions, today announced that four of the top ten global supply chain organizations identified in the AMR Supply Chain Top 25 for 2010* rely on E2open for their supply chain solutions. The companies – Cisco, Dell, IBM, and Research In Motion – were part of this year’s list, which, according to the report, saw two distinct themes: a re-examination of the benefits of vertical integration and increasing advances in the realm of sustainability.

"More and more global companies are recognizing that cloud-based B2B integration and supply chain management solutions are strategically important to their business.  The world’s most competitive manufacturers choose E2open to deliver responsive solutions that enable intelligent business process management and decision making," said Mark Woodward, President and CEO of E2open. "We congratulate those vendors identified, are thrilled that additional E2open customers have joined the list this year, and are committed to the continued success of each and every one of our customers."

According to AMR Research, the AMR Research Supply Chain Top 25 is an annual ranking whose goal has always been to raise awareness of the supply chain discipline and how it impacts business. This year's ranking is about industry leadership. Every year, AMR identifies the organizations that best exemplify the demand-driven ideal for today's supply chain, the company documents the best practices within each of those companies and shares the results in an effort to move all organizations further along toward their demand-driven goals.

Supply chain management has secured its place as a strategic process worthy of C-level attention. The challenges facing today's global supply chains include increased complexity and competition, and a constant need for cost control and intelligent decision making around demand changes and supply disruptions.  Companies require a solution that transforms the supply chain into an integrated, responsive network and improves visibility, collaboration, and control across multiple tiers of trading partners—capabilities only available via a cloud-based offering like E2open's. These unique capabilities, combined with E2open's reputation for excellence, are just some of the reasons that E2open continues to be chosen by the world’s leading global organizations such as those listed on the aforementioned report.
