After the acquisitions of Terra Technology, Orchestro and Steelwedge, E2open continues to expand the functionality of its end-to-end visibility platform through the acquisition of Zyme, a provider of a Channel Data Management (CDM) platform. Zyme provides different analytics engines to sort and transform the enormous amount of data coming from indirect sales channels into usable information to maximize visibility and performance.
“This acquisition is highly strategic,” said John Lash, VP Product Marketing at E2open. “E2open had previously provided in-depth upstream visibility, with supplier mapping up to tier-5, even tier-6. With the acquisition of Zyme we are now able to provide downstream visibility. Thus our platform becomes a tool for demand sensing offering real-time visibility into sales data, no matter the channel, which helps to better understand, influence and shape the demand. Furthermore, Zyme’s powerful analysis tools can be used to analyze data from across the complete supply chain and not just the sales and marketing aspects.”
Zyme and E2open have a lot of common customers in the high tech industry (like Dell, Fujitsu, GE, Microsoft, Seagate, Symantec and VMare) and half of these clients are located in EMEA. E2open anticipates a quick merge (about one year) by integrating Zyme’s functionalities into its platform as add-ons. Zyme is based in Redwood Shores (California) and has a revenue of $40M. E2open is based in Austin (Texas) and has a revenue of $140M.
