For the sixth consecutive year, E2open has been recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area” for 2014 by the San Francisco Business Times. Appearing in the April 18 print edition, the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area awards recognize the top 125 employers in five categories based on company size. As determined by employee rankings of the company’s policies, culture, benefits and compensation, E2open placed in the top 50 among organizations with 101-500 San Francisco Bay Area-based employees. This year’s ranking of the Bay Area’s Best Places to Work received nominations from approximately 450 companies representing employees in 12 counties around the greater Bay Area.

In 2008 Motorola launched a project that was built around the E2open software-as-a-service supply network management service and intended to revamp its supply network by enabling the exchange of more real-time information among Motorola, its suppliers, and its customers. In less than one year, Motorola reaped benefits of more than $50 million, much of that from improvements in time-to-market of new products. Sourcing lead time was reduced by 40%, and order-release-to-customer-receipt lead time was reduced by 67%. Time-to-market went down by 35%, and Motorola’s supply chain footprint was minimized by 60%.

CIO Magazine recognizes Celestica for its innovative use of information technology to drive flexibility, visibility, and simplicity through its supply chain. Celestica deployed Liveshare, a software-as-a-service solution hosted by E2open and integrated with Celestica's ERP systems, to synchronize its processes with global suppliers. The improved response times and efficiency gains have allowed the company to eliminate millions of dollars of inventory that was required as a hedge against slow supplier response times. The company reports a 33 percent improvement in response time by suppliers.
