For companies that trade internationally, a single transaction can now fall under several sets of rules that don’t always agree.

In the U.S., the BIS 50% Affiliates Rule, which extends Entity List restrictions to companies majority-owned by listed parties, is on hold but could return as soon as the U.S.-China trade truce expires. Meanwhile, the EU keeps adding dual-use controls and now targets sanctions circumvention through third countries. The UK has introduced its own end-use controls, and China has begun restricting dual-use exports to some European companies.

In this panel discussion, e2open trade compliance experts from the Americas and EMEA explain what’s changing in U.S. and European export controls. They’ll cover how companies are adjusting their screening, classification, and licensing processes to keep up. You’ll hear where those rules overlap, where they conflict, and what compliance teams can do now to prepare for 2027.

You will leave this webinar understanding:

How different regional rules apply to the same transaction, and how to manage them together

How to prepare your ownership checks before the Affiliates Rule returns

Which classification, documentation, and license management steps to start before 2027
