Max Ankirchner, Staff Solutions Architect at e2open

This month, we held a Q&A with Max Ankirchner, Staff Solutions Architect at e2open. 

Q: How long have you been working for e2open?

A: I started at CSF Solutions in September 2004 and joined e2open when BluJay was acquired in 2021. 

Q: What drives you in your career? 

A: I used to work in customs clearance and learned all the customs procedures. My passion for IT and my knowledge of customs are ideal in my field of work. I really like customer contact and enjoy finding solutions for our customers, whether it be for small problems or the complicated introduction of new processes.

Q: What are you most proud of in your career so far?

A: I am most proud that I have acquired knowledge on my own initiative and have thus always made progress in my professional career. Today, my experience is valued within the company, and I am often called upon by other departments to find solutions or provide support.

Q: How have you advanced professionally since joining e2open?

A: I have worked in various departments in the company and continue to learn about other areas. 

Q: What do you love the most about your job?

A: I like the cross-departmental cooperation with my colleagues and the close contact with our customers. I also appreciate the good relationship with the customs authorities.

Q: If you could give career advice to your younger self, what would it be?

A: Always remain yourself and be open to new challenges.

Q: What are you most passionate about outside of work?

A: I am most passionate about my family and my dog. I am also involved in local clubs and have been the chairman of our home association for over 10 years.

Q:  If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

A: One day, I will go on vacation to the Bahamas.

Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

A: We are only strong together!

Q: What was your favorite restaurant as a kid?

A: We used to have a snack bar in the village where I loved to eat fish sticks with chips.
