E2open Charitable Giving Campaign: Water For People

6 min Read

As part of our mission to improve the world around us, e2open participates in corporate-wide charitable giving campaigns. We believe in the power of collaboration to make a real difference, and we are proud to provide our employees with the resources to support these efforts. Our recent campaign for Water For People was a great opportunity for us to harness our collective power to this end.

Water For People is an organization whose goal is to work with communities, local governments, entrepreneurs, and other nongovernmental organizations to reach “everyone, forever” with safe water and sanitation services. This means every family, clinic, and school has safe and reliable water and sanitation, no matter how difficult they are to reach.

We chose this charity for several reasons, including its global reach, alignment with our values, and ESG betterment initiatives (more information can be found in e2open’s 2023 ESG Report). Our campaign coincided with the 100th Annual Tree Lighting of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which was dedicated to the theme of global giving to highlight the charitable efforts of their listed companies. A customer ornament was created featuring the e2open and Water For People logos, which was hung on trees at the entrance to the NYSE from December through the new year. We were also featured on the NYSE Global Giving Campaign website

We are excited to share the accomplishments of our global teams and the impact we made as a company! Our fundraising drive was open to employees from November 1 through November 30, 2023. Not wanting to leave anyone out, even our remote teams also had an opportunity to get involved through e2unite, an Employee Resource Group (ERG) for remote e2open team members around the world.

We reinforced our mission of Moving as One; e2open made a matching donation to team members’ contributions! Our collective donations will help impact the development of clean water, improved sanitation, and health and hygiene education in nine countries across Latin America, Africa, and India.

Water For People directs donations to the greatest area of need throughout the countries where they are active, including Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Malawi, Peru, Rwanda, and Uganda. If you’d like to know more about Water For People and see a breakdown of how donations are used to help others, please visit Water For People’s Stories about Safe Water webpage.

We are very proud of the contributions from our teams around the world, and we look forward to our next charitable giving campaign.
