Ace Hardware Leverages E2open’s Transportation Management to Reduce Freight Spend

With a transportation spend of about $50 million in annual truckload transport costs, home improvement retailer Ace Hardware wanted to gain better control of inbound transportation, automate processes, increase efficiencies and pinpoint areas for improvement. The company saw the potential ROI of rapidly deploying a TMS that would replace manual spreadsheet-based processing. An ongoing partnership with E2open helped Ace improve freight routing, real-time visibility and carrier negotiations and reduce safety stock levels and production-to-receipt lead time. Ace also leveraged E2open’s logistics procurement service, road freight rate index and Logistics as a Service.
